This scanner is 3.0 Tesla short bore, whole body MRI scanner. The system has the capability of up to 102 coil elements connected at once with up to 32 RF channels.  The higher field strength of 3.0T offers an increased signal to noise compared to the 1.5T scanners. This increase in signal to noise can be used for faster scan times or higher resolution. This system utilizes TIM technology, which is Total Image Matrix, which allows for use of multiple array coils at the same time, paralleled with the IPAT technology, allows for scans with higher temporal or spatial resolutions.
