Construction Update

Volk Construction Company is near completion of the construction phase for the CCIR, which is located on the 10th floor of Barnes Jewish Hospital. The center will contain six imaging scanners for: dual-energy source computed tomography (CT), high-resolution positron emission tomography (PET), multi-modal PET/CT combination tomography, 3T and 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and 3-dimensional ultrasound.
In addition to rooms for the imaging equipment, the CCIR will contain space to suppport a full-range of services to assist investigators in the design, execution and analysis of research studies. The location of the CCIR within the hospital allows access to diverse out-patients and in-patients making it an exciting research environment that will contribute to future developments in imaging sciences.
